RAJOURI, Aug 5: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today provided death compensation of Rs 1204341 to the dependents of deceased labourer Mohd Khalil under Workmen Compensation Act.
BDC Chairperson of Qila Darhal, Khalid Firdoz and ALC, Manisha were also present on the occasion.
The DC provided Rs 25000, Rs 25000, Rs 20000, Rs 20000 and Rs 304341 to father, mother, wife, sister and brother of the deceased labourer under Worksmen Compensation Act.
While interacting with the beneficiaries, the Deputy Commissioner inquired about their well-being and reiterated that the District Administration is taking all possible measures for the wellbeing of the labourers of the district so that they don’t face any inconveniences
ALC informed that the Act ensures that rights of the laborers are maintained even after they encounter some disability or death due to an accident during their work.
