Opportunities are there but on many occasions the prospective beneficiaries may not gain out of them. There is quite a good number of students who are studying outside Jammu and Kashmir and were slated to have completed their Graduation by the end of May this year may, however, not be eligible to apply for the posts numbering ten thousand for which reportedly the Government is to start the exercise of recruitment by advertising etc shortly. Corona virus pandemic and the lockdown have delayed such completion of courses, both technical and non technical, being pursued by these students hence not being able to apply for such posts. These students want the Government to realise their inability for no fault of theirs and make certain provisions and grant them permission to apply while they were still to complete their last semesters. The examinations too are delayed for such semesters.
While the apprehensions of these students are genuine, however, at no point of time, all the parameters would be conducive for all those who would like to apply. In other words, at every moment there would remain a section due to one or the other reason, not in a position to avail of such opportunities. On the other hand, there was quite sufficient number of candidates unemployed and waiting in wings to avail of the opportunity which they were longing for years. If the process of recruitment was suspended due to one reason or the other, it would rob the Government of its credibility in going ahead with much hyped filling the posts as announced.
