Today terrorism has engulfed all parts of the world. Terrorists have introduced a reign of terror on much wider scale since last two decades or so. Large scale killings are carried out in the name of jehad. Worldwide linkages have been established connecting themselves in the name of religion or political ideology. They are being financed and equipped by the agencies other than where they operate. In the State of Jammu and Kashmir terrorists have been active and operative since the year 1989.
We have been witnessing since then a huge loss of lives and destruction of public property in the Valley. Large number of innocent people got killed. Massacre of minorities has taken a huge toll which compelled them to migrate to safer zones of the country. We have elected Govt in the State. Grievences can be there and solutions to the grievances can be sorted out and rectified. But one is at a loss to understand why the violence goes unabated here and there in the Valley. It has been noticed that youths are often adopting the path of violence as a weapon for initiating a process of destabilization. It is a matter of concern. Our neighbouring country has established terrorist camps and is infiltrating terrorists in our country to create havoc. Their only aim is to break India.
Both the State and Central Govts in the present situation need to alienate and expose the elements who are politicising the unrest in the Valley.
