JAMMU, Apr 3: Senior BJP leader, Rekha Mahajan emphasized that the holy Navratri festival embodies the spirit of hope, harmony and kindness, fostering unity and devotion among people.
She stated this after attending a religious programme here, today, organized in view of the ongoing Navratri celebrations.
Addressing the gathering, Rekha Mahajan highlighted the spiritual significance of Navratri, a festival dedicated to Maa Durga and her divine forms. She said that the nine-day festival symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, inspiring people to follow the path of righteousness, devotion and service to humanity.
“Navratri is not just a religious occasion but a celebration of our rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted traditions. It is a time for introspection, spiritual awakening, and reinforcing the values of kindness and harmony in society,” she remarked.
Rekha Mahajan commended the efforts of the organizers for conducting Satsangs and devotional gatherings, which serve as a source of peace and positivity. She urged people to take inspiration from the festival and engage in acts of kindness, charity, and social service.
She also extended her heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, praying for peace, prosperity, and well-being for all. “May Maa Durga bless every household with happiness, strength, and success. Let us celebrate this festival with devotion, purity of heart, and a commitment to communal harmony,” she added.
The event witnessed a large gathering of devotees who participated in Bhajans, Kirtans, and prayers, seeking the divine blessings of Maa Durga.
Rekha Mahajan interacted with the devotees, expressing her gratitude for their unwavering faith and dedication.
She reiterated that the BJP-led Government remains committed to preserving and promoting the rich cultural and spiritual traditions of India, ensuring that festivals like Navratri continue to inspire and unite people across all communities.
