JAMMU, Aug 3: Aam Aadmi Party today expressed concern over threat calls received by Jammu and Kashmir Fire and Emergency Services recruitment aspirants who are whistleblowers in the scam and also appealed J&K Lieutenant Governor to give appointment to AAP delegation over the issue as request for the same was pending since days.
Addressing a press conference, here today, AAP leader Gagan Partap Singh raised serious concern over threatening calls received by aspirants of scam who are also whistleblowers of this scam which is not only biggest one in Jammu and Kashmir but is also unique one as scams have been committed thrice in single recruitment process.
He said that a delegation of these aspirants called upon Lieutenant Governor in Kashmir recently and put forth the entire matter but they are now receiving threatening calls and the Government should ensure their security in an adequate manner.
Gagan Partap further said that the Aam Aadmi Party exposed this scam weeks ago after a letter was written by party to Jammu and Kashmir Government informing about the scam which was signed by Delhi Government Minister Imran Ansari and Punjab Government Minister Harjot Singh Bains after which party again held a press conference and exposed the scam with evidences and on July 31, a communication was made by AAP with LG office seeking appointment for a meet but there was no response till date.
“It seems that some bureaucrats in the Jammu and Kashmir Government and BJP leaders don’t want the AAP delegation to meet Lieutenant Governor which is a completely unfortunate part and Lieutenant Governor should personally intervene in the matter,” AAP leader said and reiterated the demand for CBI inquiry in the recruitment scam in Fire and Emergency Services.
