Feroz dedicates 4 critical care ambulances to public

KARGIL, Dec 28: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan dedicated 4 critical care ambulances to the public during a function held in the premises of the Council Secretariat here today.
Executive Councillor for Horticulture Aga Syed Hassan Armaan, Executive Councillor for Works Mubarak Shah Nagvi and Executive Councillor for Zanskar Affairs Er Phunsog Tashi, Chief Medical Officer, Kargil Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir besides other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
Out of the 4 ambulances, 2 have been purchased under the District Plan while 2 have been provided by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The total cost of each ambulance is Rs 45 lakh which are fitted with all modern life saving equipments out of which 2 ambulances are being alloted to the District Hospital Kargil while as 1 each for Community Health Center (CHC) Drass and Zanskar.
Speaking on the occasion, the CEC said that the coming up of these ambulances will help a great deal in providing healthcare facilities to the needy patients especially in emergency situations.
CEC Khan further stated that the LAHDC, Kargil is fully committed to augment health sector which is among its top prioirities and all out measures are being taken to improve this sector in terms of necessary infrastructure and manpower.
