Female Sambar rescued, shifted to Manda Park

KATHUA, Dec 26: A female Sambar has been rescued by the locals from the clutches of stray dog at village Jakhbar.
The two-year-old female Sambar was found moving in the field at village Jakhbar when he was attacked by some stray dogs.
Some local youth sighted the animals’ conflict and rushed to the spot. They rescued the injured Sambar from the clutches of the stray dogs and informed the Wild Life Sanctuary Kathua.
On getting information, a team of Wild Life Department led by Range Officer Jasrota Bishamber Singh immediately rushed to the spot. The Sambar was treated and later shifted to Manda Park.
