KATRA, May 11: In a major success, Police today arrested a notorious female drug peddler and recovered banned capsules and tablets alongwith drug money from her possession.
The accused, namely Rekha Devi, wife of Sohan Singh of Didi Phangal, Agar Jeeto area of Katra, was arrested during surprise naka checking by a Police team of Katra Police station.
During frisking, Police recovered 400 Tramadol capsules, 471 Alprazolam Tablets and Rs 6,70,000 drug money from her posession.
In this regard, a case FIR number 138/2022, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra.
Sharing details, SSP Reasi, Amit Gupta termed the arrest as well as recovery as a big success of his team and said that the accused is still being questioned for more recovering while more arrests in the case are not ruled out. Those involved in illegal distribution networks and backward linkages of source of supply of banned drug shall also be booked in the case by exploring all possible evidences, he added.
