Female drug peddler among 5 arrested with heroin

UDHAMPUR, May 2: Police arrested five drug peddlers including a female with 30 grams of heroin.
As per official spokesman, a team from Police Station Udhampur led by SHO Inspector Chanchal Singh under the supervision of Deputy SP Headquarters Udhampur Sahil Mahajan during patrolling at Housing Colony intercepted two persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 12 grams heroin from the possession of these persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Sohan Singh, son of Shail Singh of Narsoo Nallah, District Udhampur and Anil Verma, son of Raj Kumar Verma of Housing Colony District Udhampur.
On their further disclosure, three more accused persons identified as Vikas Thakur, son of Joginder Singh of Ward Number 17 District Udhampur, Rohit Sharma, son of Naresh of Sailan Talab District Udhampur and Shaheena Shah, daughter of Nazir Shah of near Flour Mill Nagrota, District Udhampur from Subash Nagar area of District Udhampur.
During the search of these three accused persons, police team recovered 18 grams heroin along with 1 roll of silver foil and 5 insulin syringes.
A case under FIR Number 147/2021 under Section 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation started.
