JAMMU, Mar 18: To streamline the fiscal management and avoid rush of expenditure in the last days of March 2016, the Finance Department today issued fresh instructions to all the Government departments.
As per the circular issued by the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, Navin K Choudhary, the Government departments have been asked to submit before March 24, the proposals for advance drawal, revalidation, authorization etc pertaining to financial year 2015-16.
“No such proposal, whatsoever, shall be entertained by the Finance Department after March, 24,” it said.
The circular further said that the Treasury Officers will not entertain any bill/cheque or payment, pertaining to the financial year 2015-16, after the working hours on March 30.
“All the Drawing and Disbursing Officers shall plan their bill presentation at the treasuries accordingly,” it said, adding that the Treasury Officers will not entertain any Government cheque for the financial year 2015-16, under any circumstances or explanation thereof after April 5, 2016, payable to contractors, suppliers and firms etc.
