CSSs, PMDP, loan component also part of agenda

JAMMU, Oct 8: The Finance Department today announced 11 days schedule for budget discussions with the departments, beginning October 10, including the Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP), loan components etc.
A detailed schedule of discussions was issued today by the Finance Department.
“Discussions on budget proposals of Revised Estimates 2022-23 and Budget Estimates 2023-24 both under Revenue and Capital Component including Centrally Sponsored Schemes, PMDP and loan component will start in the Finance Department from October 10,” an order issued by the Department said.
It advised the departments to furnish Action Taken Reports (ATRs) on the budget announcements, if any, besides complete details on Establishment budget and FRBM to the Finance Department much ahead of scheduled date of discussion.
“The departments shall call only those officers to participate in their respective budget meeting in the Finance Department whose presence is felt absolutely necessary,” the order read.
It said discussion on the budget proposals of Jammu based Heads of Departments shall be held through video conferencing.
An earlier order issued by the Finance Department had said that the budget preparation forms for both Revenue Budget and Capital Budget will be made available to all Field Offices as well as the Administrative Departments Online through ‘Budget Estimation, Allocation and Management System’ (BEAMS) only.
