FCS&CA realizes fine, lodges 3 FIRs against violators

Srinagar, Apr 30: The Enforcement squad of FCS&CA today conducted a market checking drive of various areas of Srinagar city during which a fine of Rs 60,400 was recovered while one shop was sealed and 3 FIRs were lodged against the violators.
The drive was carried out as per the directions of Assistant Director Enforcement Mushtaq Ahmad Wani in the areas which included, Haba Kadal, Tankipora, Hawal, Residency Road, Rawalpora, Basant Bagh, Mahraj Bazar, HSH Street.
Officials said that during market checking 187 business establishments were inspected & a penal sum of Rs 60400 has been collected as a fine from 12 erring shopkeepers for violation of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
