Samba, May 4: Financial Commissioner Revenue, Pramod Jain convened a meeting to review the functioning of Revenue Department here today.
Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda, ADC, Pawan Sharma, SDMs, Tehsildars and other field functionaries of the department were present in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Financial Commissioner directed the concerned to complete the pending mutations by July this year and asked them to ensure that these are duly attested and complied. They were also directed to submit their Diary Karguzari regularly to higher authorities.
He stressed on regular updation of record so that computerization of latest record can be taken up.
Mr Jain also directed revenue officials to hear court cases for at least 2 days in a week for their effective and timebound disposal. He asked for classification of records, condition-wise so that priorities for record restoration could be determined and directed officials to routinely perform administrative inspections of subordinate offices, record padtal of subordinate staff and submit tour diaries every month.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner apprised the chair about the achievements of Revenue Department in the district.
The Patwaris and Girdawars submitted their demands pertaining to shortage of staff, lack of patwarkhanas and holding of regular DPC.
The Financial Commissioner gave them a patient hearing and said that a proposal for composite patwar khanas and record rooms in Tehsils and Niabats will be submitted soon for approval. He also said that the concerned Divisional Commissioners have been directed to issue seniority lists on priority.
