JAMMU, Aug 27: PDP general secretary and former bureaucrat FC Bhagat who had contested 2014 election from Bishnah constituency today tendered his resignation from the basic membership of the PDP along with his supporters.
While tendering his resignation, Bhagat said that he joined the PDP under the leadership of very experienced, visionary and secular leader Late Mufti Mohd Sayeed, but unfortunately, after his demise the whole structure of the party collapsed & the party has remained only a sub-regional party with only Kashmir centric ideology.
Besides this, the senior leadership of the party of the Jammu province is least interested to work for the welfare of the people but they are confined only up to the chair/posts occupied by them which has left the common mass at grass root level hopeless.
Bhagat said that under such circumstances he cannot suppress the sentiments of his people & therefore, keeping in view the alienation of the people from the grass root level, he has left with no other option but to quit the party as he felt uncomfortable & let down by the current policies of the party.
