Father-son arrested in attempt to murder case

JAMMU, July 24: Bishnah police arrested father and his son in attempt to murder case.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Bishan Dass, son of Amar Singh of Chak Shuba with police station Bishnah stating that around 8 persons of same village entered into the house of his brother namely Janak Raj of Chak Shuba and attacked him and his family members with sharp edged weapons and sticks over some land dispute.
In the incident, Janak Raj received injuries and was shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bishnah, from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where he was responding to the treatment, when reports last came in.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 154/17 under Sections 307, 452, 323, 147, 148, 149 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act was registered at police station Bishnah and hunt was launched to arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Bishnah police station conducted raid and arrested the main accused, who have been identified as Ashok Kumar, son of Baldev Raj and his son Ashok Kumar.
Hunt is going on to arrest the other absconding persons.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector PP Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
