SAMBA, Aug 27: A man was arrested by Samba police for outraging the modesty of his minor daughter.
Police has arrested accused father on complaint lodged by his minor daughter in Samba.
The arrested person has been identified as Rajesh of tehsil and district Samba.
Police said Rajesh’s 17-year-old minor daughter who happens to be a student, lodged a written complaint with police leveling serious allegations against her father. The matter being heinous, ugly and cognizable in nature, police registered a case FIR No.199/2023 at Police Station Samba and arrested the accused who has been remanded to police custody for seven days and his interrogation is underway.
Investigation of the case is being conducted by a police team comprising of Investigating Officer (IO) SI, Shabir Ahmed and SHO Police Station, Samba Rajeshwar Singh under the supervision of DySP, Garu Ram and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
Pertinently, Samba police on the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh is looking into complaints of girls sensitively and taking stern action against the perpetrators of crime against girls by registering FIRs under appropriate sections of law and arresting them.
