JAMMU, Dec 12: Police arrested a father for illegally confining her daughter in Kadyal Gujjar Basti area, falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura police station.
As per police sources, an information was received by RS Pura police that a lady hailing from Kadyal Gujjar Basti has been illegally confined by her father Kaku Gujjar, son of Ghulam Hussain and nephew.
Acting over the information, a case under FIR Number 186/16 under Section 343, 323, 506, 504 and 34 RPC was registered at RS Pura police station and investigation started.
A team from police station RS Pura rushed to the house and rescued the lady, who was tied by her father and nephew with iron chains.
Moreover, a case under FIR Number 76/16 under Section 366 and 109 RPC also stands registered with police station RS Pura on the complaint of Kaku Gujjar regarding the kidnapping of same lady.
Further investigation is going on in both the cases.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Bhushan Manhas rescued the lady under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
