Srinagar, Feb 17: A group of teachers, formerly with Falahi Aam Trust (FAT), today demanded regularization of the left outs.
Addressing a press conference, one of the group members, Fayaz Ahmad Ganie said that after banning the trust in 1990, the Government ordered engagement of these teachers in Government Schools.
“In this regard, a committee was formed by the Government for the regularization in 2003 which listed the number of teachers from all districts as 917,” the group said.
The members said that 675 teachers have posts valid up to 1992, while 242 teachers are working on wages and their case is subjudice.
“Government regularized 900 teachers in three phases in 2004, 2009 and 2012; and 17 teachers have been left un-regularized.”
The group urged the administration to take note of the issue and take necessary measures to ensure the regularization of those who have been left out.
