RAJOURI, Oct 5: Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Professor SP Singh Baghel, today visited Rajouri district as part of the Union Government’s Public Outreach Programme.
The Minister, while addressing the gathering on the occasion, highlighted the role of fast track courts and Lok Adalats in ensuring prompt justice dispensation to the petitioners. “Effective justice dispensation through courts requires three main elements like access to courts, effective decision-making by judges and proper implementation of those decisions”, he maintained.
The Union MoS visited Higher Secondary School Chingus and interacted with the students and the staff enquiring about the status of education being imparted to the children there. He exhorted upon the faculty to ensure that the students are imparted quality education with equal emphasis on extra-curricular activities besides moral values.
During his visit to Muradpur tile factory, the Union MoS inspected different units of the venture and asked the concerned for production of quality stuff for better outcome. He emphasized the need of promoting eco-friendly industries so that the future generations are gifted with a healthy environment.
Baghel, while elaborating on the objective of launching this massive Public Outreach Programme in the Union Territory, said that it is the firm commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that no region is deprived of the benefits of historic development initiatives being launched by the Union Government. “As per the directions of the Prime Minister we have come here to assess the on ground status of implementation of various Government schemes in the region’, he asserted.
Later, the Minister had interaction with beneficiaries of various schemes like PMAY, PM Ujjwala, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and related programmes at departmental stalls set up at Chingus Fort.
Addressing the public there, Union MoS explained how the Swachh Bharat Mission has helped the nation to become a clean and hygienic place to live in. He also appreciated the impact of PM Ujjwala Yojana on lives of womenfolk as the scheme protects them from the harmful effects of smoke of conventional chulllas.
Similarly, the Union MoS highlighted the broad contours of Ayushman Bharat scheme saying that it has proved to be a boon for the poor people who cannot bear the intense medical expenditures.
The Union MoS also handed over sanction letters to the beneficiaries under different schemes.
Later, the Minister held a series of meetings with Judicial Officers, local Bar Association, BDCs and DDC members, District Officers, eminent citizens of the district and other stakeholders.
