SRINAGAR, July 5: National Conference (NC) president and Union Minister for Renewable Energy, Dr Farooq Abdullah today visited the shrine of Peer-e-Dastageer Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) at Khanyar for on the spot inspection and assessment of the damage.
According to party spokesman, Dr Farooq Abdullah while expressing his pain over the incident said that the Holy Shrine will be restored to its original glory with best possible expertise engaged in the process of restoration.
He praised people of the Kashmir valley in maintaining peace and exercising restraint and exhibiting highest degree of tolerance.
He said the entire party was pained and anguished after this incident. Dr Farooq Abdullah urged the people of the State to beware of divisive forces who are hell bent to disrupt peace and harmony.
