Farooq, Omar pay tributes to Beg, Shah

SRINAGAR, June 9: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) president, Dr Farooq Abdullah and vice president, Omar Abdullah today paid glowing tributes to party veterans Khwaja Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah and Mirza Muhammad Afzal Beg on their 17th and 39th death anniversaries.
Paying rich tribute to Fakhr-e-Kashmir Mirza Muhammad Afzal Beg and Khwaja Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Shah on their death anniversaries, the NC president, Dr Farooq Abdullah called them “pillars of the party who stood by Sher-e-Kashmir in struggle against the despotic rule and socio-political emancipation of the people of Kashmir.” “Both leaders were commanding and incisive, endowed with unparalleled political foresight. I pray to almighty to elevate the stations of the late leaders in the highest echelons of Jannat,” he said.
Party vice president, Omar Abdullah while paying glowing tributes to the party stalwarts said, “I take this opportunity to pay glowing tributes to the veteran party leaders. I pray to almighty for peace to their souls. Their service and sacrifice for the people shall be remembered for all the times to come. The contribution of both the party veterans in scripting a glorious era of service and sacrifice would go down in the history as laudable illustration of statesmanship and leadership. NC firmly stands on the bedrock of service and sacrifice of such great visionaries as late Beg Sahib and Late Shah Sahib.”
Among others party general secretary, Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, additional general secretary, Dr. Sheikh Mustufa Kamal, provincial president, Nasir Aslam Wani, senior leaders Abdul Rahim Rather, Muhammad Shafi Uri, Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, Mubarak Gul, Mian Altaf, Sakina Itoo, GA Shah, Party MPs Muhammad Akbar Lone, Hasnain Masoodi, Women’s Wing president Shameema Firdous, South Zone president, Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri, Central Zone president, Ali Mohammad Dar, district presidents,  spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar and YNC provincial president Salman Ali Sagar have also paid rich tributes to the party stalwarts Mirza Muhammad Afzal Beg and Khawaja Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Shah and prayed for eternal peace to them in the highest echelons of Jannat.
