JAMMU, Mar 29: Keeping in view the service to mankind is service to God, Khalida Begum mother of Farooq Khan, Advisor to Lt Governor J&K UT and wife of Late M S Khan who had planned the holy Haj pilgrimage this year on her own expenses has cancelled the same in view of the nation is going through a difficult time due to COVID-19 outbreak.
To help the country at this hour of crisis, Khalida Begum has donated Rs 5,00,000 (five lakh) the amount required for performing the holy pilgrimage this year to Sewa Bharti Jammu , Ved Mandir which she said is working tirelessly for extending much needed help to the needy persons.
She urged the organization that the amount be utilized for taking care of those who are in urgent need of help.
