JAMMU, Aug 27:  Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in  a meeting at New Delhi today accused the National Conference (NC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah and his coterie  in Kashmir of creating ruckus  and confusion over abrogation of Article 35-A and deliberately ignoring the basic facts of the Article.
KPC president, Kundan Kashmiri while reacting the statement of Farooq Abdullah said that Article 35-A was brought un–necessarily through Presidential notification and treated it as a law with out proper approval of the Indian Parliament, hence it stands no law and there is nothing to scrap or abrogate by judiciary or the Parliament of India.
He said this Article had hampered the developmental processes in the State, created inter-regional animosities, harmed the interests of females of the State and hit the refugees from Pakistan as well as to KPs very hard .This Article  has created an  iron curtain between Indian nation and State of J&K with ulterior motives, which needs to be removed at the earliest.
KPC president appealed all the lawyers of nationalist fraternity, including KP lawyers to support the petition on Article 35-A and fight it legally in Supreme Court. He further said that  his organisation would approach some of the lawyers of national fraternity as well as of his community to join this petition on Article 35-A and support the petitioner who has taken this bold and realistic step, after studying the case, since the hearing has been deferred till coming Diwali festival. Besides interactions would be initiated within community and others people to highlight the demerits of the said Article 35-A and Article 370.
