JAMMU, June 2: Family members and others today blocked the busiest Talab Tillo road over killing of a man in road accident.
As per police sources, a man namely Raj Magotra of Talab Tillo District Jammu was killed after his motorcycle was hit by a bus at Bikram Chowk yesterday.
After conducting autopsy, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.

However, the family members along with others today assembled at Talab Tillo and staged protest. They also kept the dead body of the deceased on the road to express their anguish.
The relatives of the deceased while talking to the media persons demanded compensation to the bereaved family.
The protestors also blocked the vehicular movement on the road.
“We demand compensation to the family members of the deceased as the killed man was poor”, the protestors demanded
On getting information, Tehsildar along with DySP Headquarters Jammu Swati Sharma and other police personnel rushed to the spot and pacified the protestors.
A case stands registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and the accused driver is behind the bars, Tehsildar and police officers told the protesting people.
“We assured the family and other protestors that all of their demands including compensation to the family of the deceased will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal”, police sources informed.
On the assurance, the protestors dispersed and vehicular movement was restored on the road.
