JAMMU, Dec 16: Pacca Danga police busted fake Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) identity cards racket with the arrest of main accused.
As per police sources, few days back, a team from Pacca Danga Police Station during routine checking detained two persons along with two fake NCB identity cards.
During further enquiry, it came to fore that a person used to make these fake NCB identity cards in lieu of money and was operating from Chandigarh and Jammu.
A team from Pacca Danga Police Station went to Chandigarh and seized the laptop and other materials of the person, sources said, adding that after thorough investigation, a team from Pacca Danga Police Station arrested the main accused, who has been identified as Rakesh, a resident of Akalpur.
“Rakesh used to make fake identity cards of NCB in lieu of money. The persons, which were detained with fake identity cards were of the view that they are actual employee of the NCB as the accused also used to send them to perform duties in various areas of Chandigarh and Jammu”, sources said.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Pacca Danga SI Dheeraj Nagpal busted the racked under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial, SP City Dr Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
