JAMMU Sept 30: Jhajjar Kotli police today busted a fake currency racket and seized fake notes with face value of Rs 3,300.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Jhajjar Kotli Police Station led by SHO OP Chib under the supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary laid a naka and intercepted three persons, who were moving suspiciously.
During checking, police recovered fake currency worth Rs 3,300 from their possession and arrested trio racketeers, who have been identified as Harmeet Singh alias Sunny, son of Avtar Singh of Gadigarh, Manjit Singh alias Monty, son of Gurcharan Singh and Sanjay Kumar, son of Badrinath, both residents of Nanak Nagar.
A case under FIR number 132/13 has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the involvement of more persons in the racket, their modus operandi, and area of activation
