JAMMU, Nov 21: Police was working on various leads in Narwal wine shop blast including an intercept in which a Pakistani militant Faidullah Kashmiri had been claiming responsibility for the blast and statinag his presence in Jammu.
Reliable sources told the Excelsior that police have intercepted a message in which Faidullah Kashmiri, a Pakistani militant earlier operating in Sopore, was talking to his mentors claiming responsibility for grenade attack outside Munish wine shop at Narwal last week.
Kashmiri’s message revealed that his militant had executed the task and managed to escape after hurling the grenade at the wine shop.
In the message, Faidullah Kashmiri had been stating his location in Jammu though, as per police record, he hadn’t operated on this side of Banihal.
Sources said police was trying to ascertain authenticity of the amessage.
Police was also pursuing varaious other leads in the blast to reach to the accused. It may be mentioned here that one civilian was killed and six others were injured in a grenade attack on the wine shop.
