Fahad Mir death case: Charge-sheet filed against 3

JAMMU, July 7: Special Investigation Team (SIT) today filed charge sheet in the death of Fahad Mir, foster son of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) and senior BJP leader Farooq Khan -who had died in a road accident.
Police sources said that charge-sheet has been filed against three persons who had reportedly managed to escape to Punjab after the death of Fahad Mir in car accident in December last year in Nai Basti area.
Three persons, identified as Akshit Ganju, his father RC Ganju and Janmeet Singh Sudan were detained for questioning on July 6 at Gandhi Nagar Police Station and a chargesheet in this case has been filed in the court, police said.
Pertinently, after the complainant Ruchi Chouhan Khan, who is mother of Fahad Mir, suspected a foul play in the road mishap and approached the court, a Special Investigating Team (SIT) was constituted in the month of January. But following the transfers of SIT members, the investigation could not be completed.
Later on, the complainant approached court and it was directed to the Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra by court to speed-up the investigation process.
After the direction of court, DGP ordered SP City North SK Chouhan to complete the investigation and file charge sheet in this cases as soon as possible.
