FADA reports mixed vehicle retail data for Sept’ 23

JAMMU, Oct 10: The Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) today released the Vehicle Retail Data for September 2023 for Jammu and Kashmir, showcasing a mixed trend in different vehicle categories.
As per FADA, the 2-wheeler category witnessed a downfall of 0.69% as compared to September 2022, 3-wheeler category registered a growth of 62.68%, commercial vehicle category witnessed a downfall of 10.53%, passenger vehicle category reported a growth of 3.84% and tractor vehicle category witnessed a downfall of 30.27%. “Overall, the total retail for September 2023 in J&K reached to 15,356 units, indicating a slight increase compared to 14,683 units in September 2022,” the FADA added.
Chairperson of FADA Jammu chapter Sanjay Aggarwal, while commenting on the performance of September 2023, said, “The Indian auto retail has plenty of reasons to smile as cumulative retail sales of automobiles across four segments – two & three wheelers, passenger vehicle and commercial vehicle, have registered strong percentage year on year growth in September 2023, except for tractors which witnessed a degrowth of -30.27%”.
“Compared to the pre-pandemic period, the overall retail landscape exhibited a massive 14% growth, signaling healthy recovery, particularly in the festive period which is approaching soon,” Aggarwal added.
