JAMMU, Mar 6: The 35th meeting of the Finance and Audit Committee (FAC) of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNSH), Kakryal, was held here today.
The meeting took stock of various aspects of functioning of the 230-bedded tertiary care hospital with a view to further enhancing its capacities in sync with the emerging requirements of the progressively increasing number of patients.
The meeting was chaired by Simrandeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) and attended by RK Gupta (CA), Ravi Magotra, former Director General Accounts and Dr (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer, SMVDNSH from the Shrine Board side.
Those who took part in the deliberations on behalf of NVDSHPL/NH included Cdr Navneet Bali (Director Northern Region, NH), KS Dattatreya (Facility Director), Dr Saumya Ahuja, Medical Superintendent and Shashi Prakash, Head Finance of the Hospital.
The FAC, interalia, had a detailed discussion on the feedback and suggestions of the patients and their attendants and stressed that prompt action should be taken on each and every feedback as this would go a long way in continuously improving the delivery mechanism.
In this context, the FAC emphasized the need for bringing about improvements, wherever required, by improving the soft skills of the concerned staff. The need was also felt for taking all required steps for reducing the processing time relating to billing and discharge of patients.
The FAC was informed that in order to facilitate the patients requiring dialysis procedures, the facilities for such patients are being further augmented at the SMVDNSH by putting in place additional equipments and infrastructure.
While reviewing the to-date status of empanelment of SMVDNSH with the various organizations for providing cashless treatment, the FAC also took stock of the status with regard to preparation of online appointment module to facilitate the patients to get their various reports as well as seek appointments with the Consultants of the Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, online.
