Extension lecture on ‘Admin Law and Democracy’ organised at Dogra Law College

JAMMU, Jan 30: An extension lecture by Justice Bansi Lal Bhat (retired) on “Administrative Law and Democracy” was organised here at Dogra Law College on Monday.
As per a statement, Prerna Bakshi, Faculty, Dogra Law College, outlined in her welcome address the achievements and contribute of Justice Bansi Lal Bhat (retired) for the development of competition law and insolvency jurisprudence.
Shuchi Sharma, Principal Incharge, Dogra Law College presented a sapling to the guest and Prof. VP Magotra, Principal Dogra Law College gave a brief introduction about the Dogra Law College and the infrastructure including the facilities available at the college.
Justice Bansi Lal Bhat (retired), in his address, stated that the administrative law is concerned to build a nation through the application of speedy justice. He said administrative law upholds the will of the people by the inclusion of democratic spirit in the functioning of the Government. He also highlighted that the administrative law makes sure that rule of law is upheld while performing the Government functions.
An interactive session was also held with the students where they asked questions related to the administrative law in the administration of justice and nation building.
Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust in his presidential remarks emphasized the role of various administrative agencies in imparting justice.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Samar Dev Singh Charak, Prof Darshana Sharma, Danish Tak and others.
