Extension in vacations sought

JAMMU, Jan 8: Weather is still not conducive for opening of schools, said Teacher’s Welfare Association president, Jasmeet Singh Madaan today.
Due to prevailing inclement weather and keeping in view the cold wave and dense fog grippling, Teacher’s Welfare Association urges Director, School Education Department, Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma to further extend the winter vacations by 5 – 6 days to save the children from chilling weather conditions, he said.
To safeguard the children’s from drastic weather conditions and start of Western disturbances, it is imperative that 5/6 days extension in winter vacations be given, he urged.
