RAJOURI, Oct 23: Army averted major tragedy by recovering explosives and detonators here today.
As per Defence spokesperson, during the wee hours today alert Army columns of Ace of Spades Division, while carrying out road opening towards Chingus, discovered suspicious looking poly bag under a culvert near village Chhatiari.
He added that troops cordoned the area and recovered approximately 2 kilograms of explosives with five detonators.
“Entire area was deliberately searched to sanitise the National Highway to negate any untoward incident”, he said, adding that suspended traffic was restored after recovery of the explosives.
