SRINAGAR, Aug 22: Security forces today busted a militant hideout and recovered war-like stores in the frontier district of Kupwara.
The recovery comes a day after three heavily armed militants, who sneaked into this side from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) in Tanghdar sector in Kupwara, were killed by alert troops.
Official sources here this afternoon said a joint operation was launched by the Army and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police in the forest area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
He said war-like stores recovered from the hideout included one mortar, 25 mortar bombs, 10 UBGL grenades, two AK magazines, 60 AK ammunition rounds, one wireless set, detonators and eatables, besides some clothing items.
