Exhibition, organ donation camp, distribution of books mark celebration of Modi’s birthday

JAMMU, Sept 17: Like other parts of the country various programmes were organised by J&K BJP to celebrate the birthday of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi across the UT today.
JK BJP president, Ravinder Raina along with BJP national Sanghatak , V. Satish, MP Lok Sabha, Jugal Kishore Sharma, national secretary, Dr. Narinder Singh, J&K BJP Seh-Prabhari, Ashish Sood, former Dy. CM, Kavinder Gupta and other senior leaders inaugurated an exhibition on the life and achievements of PM Modi on his birthday at Gandhi Nagar here.
Various stalls of different departments displaying their products and detailed activities were also set up besides cultural activities by Dogra artists were held.
Earlier, Ravinder Raina and other senior leaders also undertook plantation drive in Gandhi Nagar. Organ donation pledge forms arranged by OBC Morcha were also filled by BJP activists on the occasion.
Ravinder Raina in his address said that world’s most popular and strong leader, Narendra Modi has taken the nation to new heights of development, giving people’s welfare top priority and earned global honour for India by his work as PM. He said that from childhood to the post of PM, Modi devoted his every second of life to strengthen social fabric, gave befitting reply to forces posing threat to the unity and integrity of India.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that PM Modi is the only Prime Minister of India with longest list of achievements in post Independence India who has revolutionized nation by transforming India in modernization, industrialization and made the nation self reliant.
Ashish Sood said that PM Modi has transformed political culture and working in India while serving as Pradhan Sewak. His Government has not discriminated in grant of funds and schemes for the people on the basis of caste, creed, gender or region.
Kavinder Gupta said that celebrating birthday of the tallest leader of the country is not merely a ritual but an occasion to highlight his achievements and educate the people as to what Modi promised and did on ground, instead of making false claims like earlier Governments at the Centre.

Former MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas, Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta, Vice-Presidents Varinderjit Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, former Minister Sat Sharma, general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, general secretaries, Vibodh Gupta, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Dy. Mayor Purnima Sharma, secretaries, Arvind Gupta, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Veenu Khanna, Rekha Mahajan, Anju Dogra, Chief spokesperson , Sunil Sethi, Balbir Ram Rattan, Sanjita Dogra, Arun Prabhat, Bram Jyot Satti and other senior leaders were also present in the programme.
Proceedings were conducted by programme incharge, Priya Sethi and Vinay Gupta district President BJP Jammu.
BJP OBC Morcha led by its president, Bram Jyot Satti organised a body organ donation camp here in which senior party leaders including, Ravinder Raina, Priya Sethi, Chander Mohan, Vikram Randhawa, Bram Jyot Satti and 100 other party workers pledged to donate body organs.
On the same line BJP district units also celebrated the PM birthday by organizing exhibitions and other “Sewa aur Samarpan Abhiyaan” programmes.
AT R S Pura, function was organised under the leadership of its district president S H Pummi in which former Minister, Sham Lal Choudhary was the chief guest while the function was attended by party Prabhari, Ayodya Gupta and senior leader Brijeshwar Singh Rana.
At Udhampur, Sewa Diwas programme was organised by BJYM with the support of the resources of Union Minister and MP Kathua, Udhampur Doda constituency , Dr Jitendra Singh distributed books, pens etc among the students. The BJYM leaders said that on the directives of BJYM JKUT president, Arun Prabhat Singh they will continue to serve the people during the fortnight.
Another function in connection with Sewa Divas was organised at Kathua on behalf and with the support of Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh by the BJP led by former district president and councillor, Prem Nath Dogra. They also distributed books, pens etc among the children. The other party leaders also attended the function.
BJP KDD also celebrated the day under the chairmanship of its president Chand Ji Bhat in which party Mandal presidents, Nana Ji Raina, Shuban Ji and general secretary, Bharat Bushan Gosani participated.
Various functions were held in Kashmir Valley by BJP in connection with observance of Sewa Divas.
BJP organised a photo exhibition at Srinagar and party senior leader Dr Darakshan Andrabi distributed food packets and fruit packs among the patients and attendants at Leprosy Hospital.
The party celebrated the birth day at its Headquarter Srinagar in which besides Dr Andrabi, party district president, Ashok Bhat, its IT Cell incharge, Manzoor Bhat, Arif Raja , party incharge for Central Kashmir , Dr Ali Mohammed Mir, Minority Morcha president, Sheikh Bashir, and youth general secretary, Bilal Parrey were present. The party leaders highlighted the achievements of PM Modi during his seven years as PM.
Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) also celebrated the birthday of PM Narendra Modi today by planting Sandal wood tree at the side of JKCA ground and distributed sweets among players and staff.
The function at Jammu was attended by Sunil Sethi, member JKCA, along with CAC, Ashwani Gupta, chief selector, Vidhya Baskar, selectors Dhruv Mahajan and Vijay. Players undergoing selection trials for senior team and staff were also present.
Under the aegis of its president, Arun Chowdhary , Arya Pratindhi Sabha J&K, convened a programme at Master Devi Chand Park , Rehari colony on the occasion of birthday of PM , Narendra Modi today. Vedic Hawan by chanting special birthday Mantras was performed with all the rituals and wishes were bestowed for long and healthy life of PM.
