Kathua, Mar 4: Under the active supervision of Excise Commissioner, J&K T. Angchuk and Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Mohammed ShahidSaleem, Excise Team Kathua under the command of ETO, SandeepGupta raided the Charala, Saktachak, Banyari, Barnotiand Sitdyal areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation.
More than 850 kilo grams of Lahan and 40 bottles of illicit liquor made from a lahan, which is highly hazardous & injurious to health, was recovered by the raiding team which was later destroyed by the team on spot.
Another team under the command of ETO, Eradication Jammu, Suresh Sharma, raided the Kotli, Charkan, Salehar, Kothey, Bulande, Shibuchak, Shiekhpur, Kriel and Lalyane areas of R.SPura and Bishna areas of Jammu district and in the process 300 kilo grams of lahan was recovered and destroyed.
