Exam cancelled as papers stolen

JAMMU, Dec 13: Following theft of question papers, the J&K Board of School Education today ordered cancellation of History and Physics exams (Term-I) of Class 11th in Jammu Province and also announced postponement of the examination of Education paper, which was scheduled to be held tomorrow.
The hurried decision in this regard was taken in wake of the theft of question papers of History, Physics and Education, from Government Higher Secondary School, Reasi. The meet came into this morning and following a formal complaint, an FIR in this regard has been registered at Police Station Reasi.
Sources said that the question papers were found stolen from the school cupboard and the matter was immediately brought into the notice of higher authorities.
According to a notification, issued by JKBOSE, papers of History and Physics (Term-I), Summer/Winter Zone of Jammu Province of Higher Secondary Examination Part I (11th Class), under Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme, which was conducted on December 13, 2016, has been cancelled.
Further, the notification adds, Education paper (Term-I) Summer/Winter Zone of Jammu Province of aforesaid examination, which is scheduled to be conducted on December 14, 2016, has been postponed.
Fresh dates for the conduct of examination of these papers shall be notified later on in due course of time.
