POONCH, May 4: An ex-servicemen rally was organized by Major (Retd) Prem Singh, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer Poonch at Mendhar under the aegis of Brig (Retd) Harharan Singh, Dirctor, Sainik Welfare Department (J&K). The Welfare Officer was accompanied by Mohd Iqbal Bhatti and Rattan Lal.
The ZSWO registered the grievances and problems of ex-servicemen, veer naries, defence personnel and their families. Hav Mohd Shamim, district president read out welcome address. A large number of ex-servicemen, veernaries and dependents were present.
The ZSWO resolved the problems of ex-servicemen and others on the spot. CSD Smart Card applications and letters for Station Orders were prepared. Duplicate Identity Cards of ex-servicemen and widows were made and issued on the spot. He also brief about the joint notification for family Pension.
