UDHAMPUR, Sept 20: An ex-servicemen rally was organized here today at Majalta by Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Udhampur.
A large number of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris from far flung areas of the district participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer (ZSWO), SL Khajuria briefed the participants about the welfare schemes and concessions being extended by the Central and State Governments for the welfare of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris.
Meanwhile all routine documentation work like renewal of identity cards, CSD cards and filling financial assistance forms was done on the spot by the staff of ZSWO.
The rally was organised under the aegis of Brigadier (Retd) RS Langeh, Director, Sainik Welfare Department.
