Ex-serviceman commits suicide under mysterious circumstances

SAMBA, Jan 3: A 45-year-old Ex-Serviceman from Jakh in Vijaypur area who swallowed some poisonous substances under mysterious circumstances was declared dead by doctors at GMC, Jammu. The deceased has been identified as Sangram Singh, son of Kabal Singh.
According to the information, it is being said that Sangram Singh had a transaction of money with someone, due to which he was being harassed. After swallowing the poisonous substances Sangram was found some meters away from his home at National Highway in an unconscious state. After his relatives came to know of it Sangram Singh was referred to GMC Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead.
The relatives of the deceased brought the dead body from GMC and the family members expressed their anger and demonstrated keeping the dead body on the National Highway. The relatives said that a suicide note has also been found along with the dead body on which the names of those who were constantly harassing him were also written. The relatives informed that Sangram was an ex-serviceman and he had invested money on the property and his accomplices were repeatedly harassing him for money and the Supwal Chowki Officer had also harassed Sangram for three days. The family members of the dead have appealed to SSP Samba, Abhishek Mahajan to investigate the matter and those whose names have been written in the suicide note should be detained at the earliest and strict action be taken against them.
