JAMMU, June 1: Amid high number of accidents on Akhnoor -Jammu highway, Babhishan Singh, Ex- Sarpanch Malpur today donated a Basic Life Support (BSL) Ambulance for this highway.
SDPO Domana, Kosheen Koul and SHO Kana Chack, Vishav Partap Singh during a simple and a impressive program organised here and following all Covid SOPs, handed over keys of Ambulance to the driver.
Addressing the media Babhishan Singh told that he is donating this Basic Life Support Ambulance in memory of his father Late Jagdev Singh to the people especially those suffer a lot due to accidents on Akhnoor -Jammu highway. He informed there was no ambulance available near-by health centers for accidental patients.
He further informed that this ambulance will be free of charge for the patients. He told that driver Tara Chand is also voluntarily providing his services for ambulance free of cost. He assured that he will try his best to provide services to patients 24×7. He further announced that around 20-25 Oxygen cylinders will be donated by him to the people. He announced that if in future need emerges he will donate another ambulance.
SDPO appreciated the noble step of Ex-Sarpanch and thanked him for his contribution for the people. He said this initiative will save dozens of lives as it will make accident patients reach timely to the hospitals. He told that area was not having any such vehicle with basic life support system. Koul assured that Police will supervise its monitoring and assured that people may get its maximum utilisation. The Ambulance will be freely available on Mob numbers- 9419198333, 9596940079.
Kuldeep Raj BDC Member Bhalwal, Rana Partap Singh Sarpanch Gharota, Ravi Dogra and others were also present on the occasion.
