Ex-Sarpanch among 3 arrested for cheating unemployed youth

RAMBAN, Aug 19: Batote Police arrested three fraudsters including Ex-Sarpanch for cheating unemployed youth of providing them Government jobs in lieu of money.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Shahbaz Lone, son of Abdul Latief of Ward Number 4 Batote, Tilak Raj of Batote and Rafiq Ahmed Batt of Batote with Police Station Batote stating that three persons identified as Arshad Ahmed, son of Ghulam Hussain of Dharmound, Bodh Raj (Ex-Sarpanch), son of Suram Chand of Sana and Mohammad Farooq, son of Amaanullah Magrey of Champa Batote has taken Rs 8.77 lakh from them so as to provide them Government job.
The complainants stated that these persons had also collected lakhs of rupees from other unemployed youth in lieu of providing them jobs.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 47/2020 under section 420 and 109 IPC was registered at Batote Police Station and all the three accused have been arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
