Nowshera, June 18: Former MLC and senior PCC leader Ravinder Sharma has lashed out at the PDD authorities for giving raw deal to most parts of Nowshera- Sunderbani areas in maintaining proper supply of power, as people have genuine complaints of long and unscheduled of power cuts in the area.

He said the power supply remains affected for hours and days together for minor faults. The entire belt of seri, Kangri, Bajabain and Kalidier- Bhajwal, is facing great hardships especially due to unscheduled cuts and over loading. It is incumbent upon the department to take necessary up gradation and maintenance/repair works, otherwise people will come on roads. Ex-Sarpanch Krishan Lal Sharma, Raj Kumar president BCC Seri, Bhim Sein (ZEO), Prem Singh, Tulsi Dass, Ramesh Choudhary and other prominent leaders of the village seri-Sayal complained about acute hardships on account of power scenario, in the entire belt where people suffer for want of power due to scheduled and unscheduled cuts for hours together.
Taking stock of the hardships faced by the people, Sharma has asked the authorities to wake up to the situation and improve the system in the scorching heat. He demanded that the capacity of receiving station at Kangri needs to be upgraded to 6.3 MVA from present 2.5 MVA immediately.
