RAJOURI, Mar 1: Former National Conference MLA from Rajouri Mohd Aslam Khan was today evicted from the Government quarter by the Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan.
The former MLA was unauthorisedly occupying quarter for the last 14 years in Rajouri town in connivance with the Irrigation Department.
The district administration Rajouri has launched a crackdown on illegal occupants of Government buildings and in last 6 weeks about 18 buildings of Panchayat Ghars, schools, hospitals, Anganwari Centres and ZEO office etc have been vacated from the illegal occupants.
These buildings were under illegal occupation during the past 15 to 20 years and the influential persons were not allowing vacation.
