RAMBAN, Aug 9: Ex-MLA, Ashok Kumar along with the locals of Sarthi area here today staged a protest demonstration against the Chief Engineer, Road and Building (R&B) and urged upon the J&K Lieutenant Governor for early completion of Kunfer-Sarthi link road under NABARD.
The protesters also demanded proper blacktopping and drainage and the completion of remaining stretch of the road.
Addressing the protesters Kumar said patients, students and pregnant ladies are suffering badly for the last seven years due to dilapidated condition of the link road on which the government has so far spent Rs. 2.05 crore for the construction of 3 km stretch of link road but the road is still inaccessible for light vehicles.
The Ex-MLA further said that R&B along with PWD have not taken any step to repair and blacktop the road and construct drains along with its sides from Kunfer to Sarthi village.
