Srinagar, Oct 15 : A former militant was shot at and critically injured in Kakapora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district this evening.
The ex-militant identified as Tanveer Ahmad Sofi, 30, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sofi of Sofi Mohalla Kakapora was shot at near J&K Bank Kakapora.
Tanveer received bullet injuries and was shifted to hospital for treatment where his condition is said to be critical.
He was affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and later surrendered. He was later engaged in Sericulture Department.
Security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area to nab the attackers.
