Ex-gratia sanctioned in 10 militancy-related cases in south Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The State Government today sanctioned ex-gratia in favour of 10 militancy related cases in south Kashmir district of Shopian, an official spokesman said here this evening.

He said Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, today chaired a District Level Screening Cum Coordination (DLSCC) committee meeting  during which 13 cases were taken up in for discussion.

The meeting discussed nine cases for SRO-43 (compensate appoint), three relief cases and one case of property damage. He said after threadbare deliberations, the committee unanimously approved seven SRO-43 cases, wherein ex-gratia relief of Rs two lakh per case was sanctioned for three cases where victims were either killed or missing for more than seven years.
