JAMMU, Mar 26: The J&K Govt Employees and Workers Joint Action Committee (R) has urged upon the Government to clear all the pending GP Fund cases of the employees and also clear the cases pertaining to removal of pending pay anomalies of clerical cadre.
In a meeting of the EWJAC held here today under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik, State president, the members present discussed the pending issues of the employees and workers. They expressed serious concern over the delay being caused in clearing all the pending GP Fund cases of the employees. They said the employees’ own hard earned money is not being paid by the Government for the last several months. Many of them have applied to withdraw the amount on the marriage of their daughters, construction of house or meet the expenditure for their treatment as they are suffering from various diseases. The Government must take cognizance of the matter and issue directions to the Commissioner Secretary Finance to release this amount immediately.
They also demanded removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, release of 12 % DA with effect from July 15 and January 2016; enhance medical allowance of the employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month and regularize daily wagers/ contractual workers.
Prominent among others present in the meeting included Bharat Bhushan, Meenakshi Sharma, Yashpal, Khurshid Ahmed Dewani, Parshotam Sharma, S R Rathore, Ansuiya Gupta, Nenu Lata, Inderjeet Kour, Munish Gupta, Umer Jan and Shehzadi Gill.
