SRINAGAR, Feb 11: Division Bench of High Court comprising Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur today directed the Government to ensure that all unauthorized occupants of Ministerial bungalows/ special houses of all types both at Jammu and Srinagar are evicted forthwith.
The respondents have further been directed to ensure that all outstanding rent from both authorized and unauthorized occupants are recovered by even applying the provisions of Land Revenue Act.
Hearing a petition filed by Mohd Yaseen Shah, DB also directed Principal Secretary to Government, Estates Department, to submit the details of unauthorized occupants evicted from Ministerial bungalows/ special houses of A, B and C types till date. “He shall also provide the details of former Ministers/legislators/ retired officers/politicians who are occupying the Ministerial bungalows/ special houses both in Srinagar and Jammu within a period of two weeks”, the DB added.
“The respondents shall also ensure that outstanding rent from both authorized and unauthorized occupants are recovered by even applying the provisions of Land Revenue Act”, the DB added.
