JAMMU, Feb 27: JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla today convened meeting of office bearers of R S Pura Jammu South and Bahu constituency to discuss poll strategy ahead of forthcoming Parliamentary elections.
While addressing the meeting, Bhalla urged the leaders to continue taking steps in the direction to strengthen the party at the grassroots level. He said that the genuine needs of the public should be addressed openly and they should enable the public to recognise the ruses of the BJP and its divisive policies.
He alleged that the BJP has failed the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the Congress will step in and take charge. He shamed the BJP Government for being incompetent in tackling the economic crisis of the country and ignoring the middle class and poor.
Bhalla alleged that the BJP promise of ‘achche din’ (good days) was meant only for themselves or a selected group of industrialists and capitalists whose wealth had increased.
Bhalla promised overall development of Jammu and Kashmir without any religious or regional bias if his party was voted to power in the Union Territory. He said that in the present political uncertainty, his party is the only hope of the people as Congress has never done politics on a religious or regional basis and believes that people deserve equal opportunities with dignity.
